How we handle your details
Draft. This page describes what the site stores today. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet and will be replaced by a full privacy notice.
When you ask for an introduction
We store your first name, email address, the topics you picked, when usually suits you, your note, your time zone, the coach you asked about, and how you found Lumera (for example, the name of the site or campaign that linked here). We use them only to arrange the introduction you asked for.
Lumera's team reads your request and emails you to agree a time. Please leave health details and anything confidential out of your note.
For a sample coach, the request is a demo: we keep only the coach, the topics you picked, your time zone and how you found Lumera, not your name, email, note or times.
When you apply to coach
We store what you enter in the application at /become-a-coach, your email address and when you agreed. Lumera uses your email only to reply about your application and your profile; it's never shown on the site. Nothing in the application is public unless we approve your profile. Until you send it, your answers are kept only in that browser tab, so a reload doesn't lose them; closing the tab clears them.
A photo you upload is resized in your browser, which also leaves out details such as where it was taken, and is sent with your application. Lumera stores it with Vercel, the company that hosts the site, at a web address that isn't private: it's shown on Lumera only once we approve your profile, but anyone who had the exact address could open it. If you give a link to your photo instead, it stays on that site, as your introduction video stays on YouTube; Lumera stores the links, and the browsers of people viewing your profile load them from there. To change or remove your profile or photo, reply to our email. If your application can't be stored, its photo isn't kept.
When you browse
We count anonymous events, such as a profile being viewed or an introduction being played, so we can see which parts of the site help people find a coach. Each event records the page, the coach involved, and a short tag for how the visit arrived: a search engine, social network or website's name, or a campaign Lumera set up. Any other tag in a link is stored only as “other”.
We don't set cookies for this, and we don't store your IP address, browser details or any ID that follows you between visits. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't count your visit at all.
Questions we still need to answer here
How long requests are kept, who the data controller is, where data is stored, and how to ask for your details to be deleted. They'll be answered here before Lumera takes requests for real coaches.
